Good for a Goldwing

I have the 2007 Kendon dual trailer unit and have used it to transport a 2006 Goldwing. The trailer has no problem with this 850lbs massive bike. If fact, when the Goldwing was tied down, the weight was right where it should be (not too much up front on the ball, and not too much down back). The rear tire of the Goldwing was right in the center of the rear portion of the trailer, just right. The height of your ball should be 21 inches, just right for SUV’s and Trucks, but if you plan to tow using a sedan, you may need something like a rapid hitch lift. I did use the optional Kendon center rail, but only because a center rail looks better when towing. You will have to navigate the front tire around the little tie down bar when using the center rail, but since the Kendon trailer has torsion suspension, it really doesn’t matter were you place the bike, - really! Kendon could have also provided 3-5 dollar 2 inch bracket to hold the center rail to the main round frame below the diamand bar metal floor. I custom made, and installed one in anyway - 2 inch EMI style. I towed the Goldwing over 280 miles, in 30-40mph winds, at 65mph, and all went well. On my way back, when there was virtually no wind, so I almost forgot the trailer was back there. Loading a Goldwing on a Kendon dual rail trailer was no problem. You should walk along the side of the bike, feathering the controls up or down the rail. The rail can hold the entire bike, so you need not hurry. The wheel chokes will hold the bike up, while you attach your tie-downs. You should also remember to compress your front suppression by about 75% to prevent bounce. Nice trailer, get the optional center stand bar up front which can be used to lift the trailer up on it’s castors. It folds well in any garage, and construction is like a powder coated bridge.

Upgrades/Accessories:  Center Rail, Center Stand, Ball Lock, Hitch Lock, Rapid Hitch Adjusment Balls, and Rapid Hitch Locks.
